This is the eighth course in a series of 10, 60-90 minute online courses. After completing the Autism Assessment Toolkit Part 8: Differential Diagnosis and Identification of autism, the participant will be able to discuss: the effects and consequences of delaying identifying children with autism the procedures and skills necessary for transdisciplinary assessment and diagnosis the pitfalls and “novice errors” of diagnosis due to behavioral assumptions and lack of training and experience the decision-making process for the differential diagnosis of autism.
